Our concert performance at the Kennedy Center was covered by Voice of America Dari, the Dari-language version of VOA that covers Afghanistan-related news in the US and around the world. VOA reporter Mohammad Ahmadi filed this report, which features interviews with Johnny Walsh, Qais Essar (who conducted the interview in Dari), Marina McClure, and Ruby Mountain, as well as footage from the concert.
We are excited to announce that we are recording an EP of original music from the show. We spent some time in the studio recently, and are currently mixing and mastering the songs. It sounds amazing, and we can't wait to share it with you!
We are excited to announce that Tear a Root from the Earth will participate in 2017's Ice Factory theater festival at the New Ohio Theater in New York City. For more details and to buy tickets, please visit the New Ohio's website. We hope to see you there!
